This calendula was started by seed indoors April 2021 and transplanted to our garden in late May and early June 2021.
 
Two varieties: greenheart orange + bronze beauty. Tending to these flowers all summer and into the fall season brings me joy each day. It became a peaceful and relaxing way to unwind and connect with nature. So the flowers are definitely infused with my good energy. Each flower was picked by me and and then dried throughout the growing season 🧡 We were lucky to have blooms through late October 2021. I used the dried flowers for this solar infusion and for the rose, English lavender, calendula infusion (lavender + rose usda organic). 
This calendula infused for over 12 weeks in usda organic jojoba.
 
For face, body + bath. Calendula petals are full of flavanoids that have been shown to be rich in anti-inflammatory properties.
 
Calendula has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that may be useful with soothing dry skin and eczema and psoriasis.
 
Jojoba spreads and absorbs easliy and doesn't leave a greasy residue. To use: Less is better.
 
For face: 5 - 10 drops in hands + then pat on to face and neck with fingertips. For body: use after a bath or shower. Towel dry and apply 5 - 10 drops per body region and massage into skin.
 
For bath: start with 20 drops (the jojoba will disperse and float on top of the water). Take a handful of bath water and pour over your body, followed by a swiping stroke over your skin to your arms shoulders, chest, legs, and abdomen for a moisturizing bath experience on its own or with a salt blend. jojoba is pronounced - ho ho ba.
 
Hand Treatment Idea: use up to 20 drops of this blend to "wash" your hands with the jojoba blend, paying special attention to the skin between knuckles, to cuticles, and back of hands until absorbded. place hands in gloves and wrap in a warm hot pack or rice bag for a soothing winter hand treatment.
