Refresh Foot Soak

Updated: Aug 10, 2020

THE STORY BEHIND THE REFRESH FOOT SOAK BLEND.

The inspiration for this blend came from a package that I created for my massage clients in 2015. It included a lower leg & foot scrub that was followed by an application of lemongrass, lavender, & peppermint essential oil infused jojoba {key ingredients in the refresh foot soak blend}, and reflexology.

How you can use it...

The 2 ounce tin offers 2 foot soak self care rituals OR a quick aromatherapy inhalation treatment several times a month.

AROMATHERAPY INHALATION TREATMENT: If you don't have the time or energy to set up or clean up a foot soak basin and treatment for yourself, consider an aromatherapy inhalation treatment by enjoying the aromatics of the ingredients in the tin.

How?

Remove the lid of the tin, visually take in the unique herbs and textures of the salts {be present}. Hold the tin near your nose and take a deep breath in through your nose for four counts, hold for four counts, and exhale through your mouth for four counts. Repeat this circular breathing pattern up to 5 times. The tins compact size allows you to keep it in an accessible location near your home office work space, or relaxation area in your home. Make the ordinary extraordinary .

FOOT SOAK TREATMENT: Prepare the area that you will be relaxing and enjoying your foot soak. On a nice morning or evening, I recommend trying a foot soak outdoors! Grab a towel, a pair of socks, a foot basin (it doesn't have to be a special or specific foot soaking basin), gather any reading material, a journal, or set up relaxation music.

Place the basin near the chair that you will be relaxing and enjoying your soak. Scoop 2 tablespoons (or 6 mounded scoops with our new salt scooping spoons) and add the salt blend to the bottom of the basin. Visually take in the unique salts, textures, herbs, and flower petals. Fill a pitcher with hot water and add to the basin. When the temperature feels good for you, soak your feet for up to 20 minutes. Take a deep breath in and enjoy the aromatics when you add water to the basin. You can rub one foot against the other during the soak and move the feet slightly during your treatment to spread the jojoba or calendula jojoba into the skin of your feet.

You can also scoop some of the water with your hands and apply the infused water over your lower legs. When you are ready to end your soak, have the towel nearby so you can gently dry off your feet. The socks are great after your soak to keep in the moisture from the oils and to prevent any slipping on hard surface floors.
